Jeff Rogers
  Bio

Jeff Rogers (born 15th July 1980) is a singer-songwriter from Ottawa, Canada. His influences include Stevie Wonder, B.B. King, Donny Hathaway, Ray Charles and Jamiroquai.

Having discovered the musical potential of their son early on, Jeff’s parents encouraged him to develop it further by providing him with his first piano and music lessons. Since then, Jeff has taken up saxophone, guitar, and developed his voice to accompany his piano playing. Now predominantly a singer and piano player, he has earned repute as a dueling piano player based out of Ottawa as well as a member of the southern rock groups The Cooper Brothers and Silver Creek.

After the release of his blues-inspired, self-titled debut album in 2007, Jeff appeared at numerous festivals opening for various acts including Taj Mahal, Colin Linden, Sonny Landreth, and The Downchild Blues Band.

Jeff is currently working on his second album, to be released in early 2012. This time around, the tone is very different. While blues will always inhabit a large part of Jeffrey’s musical palate, the new album is decidedly R&B, making effective use of his powerful vocals and funky piano playing. From fun-loving dance tunes like “To Reassure You” and “Dance With Me,” to the emotional soul ballad “You’re All I Know,” Jeff’s current catalogue of work highlights his ability to captivate and entertain audiences.
